Raindog
The Mark One Proxy is assembled - Can we say waaayyyyy to much flashing and mold lines? Picked up a Season 8 ITS pack at the Guardian Garage Sale today. Joe Scarface Turner, 2 Camo Markers silhouettes, an alternate Coup de Grace card, 3 patches (Aleph, Tohaa, and Imperial Service), a silhouette one masrker, some dog tags, etc, $10. @PaladinX if you want the Joe, let me know. Some of it will end up as Rampage prize support.
Raindog
Painting Modelling: One camouflage silhouette repaired and two more assembled and glued. I put two different ink washes on the Sophotect. This week, I want to assemble my Danavas Hacker. Until the Cold Front shipment comes, it is last model for Vanilla Aleph I have to assemble. Finally, does anybody have a good idea for a substitute for a Proxy Mark 5? I don’t care current model. League I am thinking about missions for the Fall’s Escalation League. @Jay suggested non-standard deployment zone. I am thinking corner sets ups, angle deployments, L deployments, and even deployments where all models must start in off table with a single move to enter the table. If you have ideas, please share! This season, I want to have a bit more emphasis on button pushes and mission achievements over straight killing in addition to teaching the game. Reading I have been reading ITS Season Ten. It is an improvement over last season. The classified deck is better with greater options including options for non-specialists. Medium Infantry gets a boon. The missions are refined. The Highly Classified Intelcom is a clever wrinkle. Data trackers are important, but play a lesser role. It looks like Win.
Raindog
Tonight, I assembled the Danavas Hacker. It is a beautiful model and easy to assemble. The was a very minor gap. I sealed it with a minute amount of green stuff. I don’t know if I will use the model as a Danavas. The unit may be less than optimal. A 25 point Hacker plus without NWI, BTS, ODD, or Mimetism. I may use it as Proxy Mark 5.
Raindog
Oh, I am so close. The Sophotect is almost done. The wash needs to dry. Then, maybe, a little black lining needs to be added. Finally, the base arcs need to be painted. I played a few demo scenarios tonight. It is a fun tasty of the game. Breaking the game into small pieces makes me appreciate the individual aspects of the game.
Raindog
After a quick road trip to Mac, I started to assemble Dakini! My wife napped as I drove, so I listened to Mayacast. When she woke, she said it sounded like the Tom and Kip were taking about the models wearing tankinis. I told her it was Da-kinis - like in Willow........ Justjokin
Pretty much wearing tankinis...
Raindog
The Dakinis are work to assemble. the molds fit okay. The feet are fiddly and weak points. Sadly, on the models I received, they have a fair bit of flashing and mold lines to remove. This is unusual for CB models. I have all three from Cold Front assembled and based, but it took hours. The models remind me of old school Necron models meets the Terminator meets Infinity. I like the referencing and the modern take. I really am looking forward to the SC box for the HMG, but so much on the assembling part.
Raindog
The Deva In Cold Front was a breeze. The Shurka needed work. The body was okay, but the arms.......... I played one game tonight with the new list. At 150 points, nothing is optimal. I went with the basics. 3 Dakini and two Deva in a link, two Net Rods, and a KH Naga. The Deva are better than I thought, but only because NWI. They have two nifty tricks: Sensor and MSV 2 and a Spitfire. Deva Sensor is mighty. +6 to discover, +9 in a link with a WIP of 15, they can reach across the table. Who needs an Asura? An Asura L2, maybe not so much........ Raindog
Wow! @Exile was right. The gun arm on the Asuras from the Advanced Pack is a crazy join!
Raindog
Despite the join on the gun, the Asuras was a piece of cake.

The CSU was a good extra. I rolled NWI to fit the list. A Dakini HMG is really Boss, but I need more points. I should complain. Now, who is in charge of this league? Raindog
The Yadu was easy to assemble. The Naga is next. Per Mythic Realms, my Aleph Remotes are in.

Raindog
The naga has issues. There are too many mold lines. The injection tags on the side of pack were impossible to remove without damaging the pack. I added knives from Empire Free Company to hide the damage. I wonder if I had a bad batch or if other people are having similar problems with their Cold Front Models?
Raindog
If you don’t need your Advance Pack and Coldfrint Boxes, or any other Infinity box, send it my way.

Raindog
Lamedh is done. A TR bot would be tastier, but in the case of OS of SSS, I think a few cheap order are worth there weight.

Raindog
After two weeks of helping new players in the league and not getting in games, I am really itching to play. Worse, I need to practice for the Emerald City Incursion.
