New Tau - Giant Fethin' Riptide with Missiles, New FireW and Stealth Riptide

GW must have realized what a deal the old campaign boxes were and have now vowed to never again sell something of good value. :)

As much as I think GW is against good value, I don't think that's the issue here.

For most armies, you'd buy multiples of the campaign box to fill out an army. Lately, TAU players buy a single box of fire warriors (12 models) and never buy any other troops ever again. The campaign box only has value if it encourages players to buy lots of them. A tau campaign box would be lacking with any troops included, because the troops would count against the value of the set for multiple purchases. It would be pointless.

Plus, christmas is coming, so if they did a campaign box, they should wait a month or two for release.

It is important to note that these are not true campaign boxes in the way that Stormclaw or DV, etc were. These are just army bundles associated with a campaign.

Maybe I misunderstood, I thought he was commenting about the lack of TAU campaign box.

It's a pretty safe assumption. Campaign boxes tend to have two forces and a discount for the combined box. Force boxes (models from the same army) tend not to have discounts.

They did do a series of them for a while a year or so ago that were about a 20% discount or so. The Tomb Awakened for Necrons, there was some Blood Angels one, an Ultramarines one, I think a few more.
