Steel Angel
Playing a real game. Sigh need I say more? OFCC has not been the most welcoming place to play AoS. Harassment started last year didn't feel like having it this year. So just went to GG and played a fun game of AoS.
InfestedKerrigan
I think if GW would've kept points instead of using it as a way to make additional money, AoS wouldn't have gone through the pains it has. But I don't play WFB. I don't play AoS. WTF do I know?
WestRider
I don't know about the factors that lead to it, because I'm from a different state, but I do know that no one volunteered to run an AoS event at OFCC, which is kind of a crucial step.
evil_bryan
With the release of the General's Handbook, there is a very good chance it will make an appearance next year :)
Raindog
As long as somebody is willing to put on an event and players are willing to come, we are willing to add it. We have added Infinity, Malifaux, and 9th Age in the last few years. A game does not have to be as big as 40K, to be at the OFCC.
Threejacks
I had my hat in the ring(The only one I believe),however interest was rather dismal at the time so I pulled it.I also chose to go this route as there still seemed to be alot of discust with GW from club members due to the shut down and total reboot of the line,I felt it needed more time as AoS was indeed shocking for those that had invested so much over the years. Since last fall/winter alot has changed for AoS,,for those critics of course it is still "not a real game" but for those of us who have picked it up and ran with it,its a fun casual game/hobby.It has grown to more than double the sales of the previous version of Warhammer and is even exceeding 40k sales in some stores. Currently AoS is picking up alot of steam globally with its official matched play,,here locally its growing notably. The GW store manager just a few days back told me hes had over 60 games of AoS played at his store since the summer campaign launched. Remember AoS just had its one year anniversary,it is NOT an extension of the previous game with that held its slot and picked up very few players from 8th edition, its a complete new and fresh start.

scottshoemaker
I was hoping to get a demo. It seems like a great way to play high fantasy at a skirmish level, and frankly I only want to run 20 or figures, not giant armies. Friday night would've been a great time to have something going on.
KlawKnee
Regiment of renown sounds more fittng to that model size then a standard 2k tournament. Might be time to rewrite that ordo comp :) Best game ive enjoyed so far was 500 pts no heros, behemoths, artillery. Unit champion as general, who gets a command trait. lustriangod2
Yeah, I agree with Steele. From the beginning people were talking mad crap about the game prerelease. Then when you were the person talking about playing, people would give you crap for even thinking about playing. The gaming world finally caught on and let AoS do its thing.
Exile
Mike, I believe that we had a relevant, productive conversation about this very topic on the FB's. Necro'ing a month old post doesn't really advance said conversation.
