Threejacks
I ordered the starter for it but thats mainly to get the hard copy of the rules and get the models of course..may use the marines for more DW. I know the rules have been around for awhile but ive yet to get a chance to try the game out. Seems like it should be a fast playing game with good potential for campaign play:)

Blustorm
I'm up for some Kill team, once I get the box. In fact, I think there's a number of us at GN who will be trying it out this month.
splinx
Yes I will be organizing a KT league up here in Vancouver for anyone interested at my local store after we have all tried out the new rules. Cheers Sam
splinx
Yes sir! I will be going up to the store some time this week to start organizing it and through September we will be doing some play through games to get to grips with the new rules and then run the league through October and November. :)
Purajh
I would definitely Be down for some kill team. How late is that league going to run Splinx? Sadly working east coast time has its downsides, like going to bed at 7-8 pm.
splinx
It will probably be a 5/6pm start time and the game normally last about 45mins (from memory and unless its changed) so you should be still able to head home for 8pm easy. Threejacks
Picked up the new box set yesterday and have been checking out the rules. As far as team composition goes,im not seeing an HQ requirement,,actually am I right that HQ choices are not allowed in KT play? This of course would make a unit sgt be the leader in most cases.?,or since it seems its based on the highest leadership could I just pick a different model in the unit? Also it looks like high model count teams could be the way to go as Orks can easily get 15+ models out there and there doesnt seem to be requirement to stay close to one another, thus minimizing blast weapons.Of course leadership could be an issue if they have to start checking each turn. For Deathwatch,im assuming they get to use their mission tactics army wide?
Torg
I've picked up my digital copy... I could use this as a nice jumping point for redoing my harlequins. I'd be interested in doing something on game night between my BloodBowl matches (which are on an every 2 week rotation). -d
Tamwulf
Splinx that would be awesome! I live literally 2 blocks away from Mythic Realms (I just moved here). Got anymore details about this yet? What nights, how long, etc. etc.? I just picked up the Deathwatch Codex and would love to run those guys... Or Harlequins. Or maybe Tau... damn, I have too many armies... LOL Threejacks- The Kill team Force Organization is 2 Troops, 1 elite, and 1 fast attack, no vehicles with ARM >33 (front+side+rear), no 2+ saves, no model with more than 3 wounds. You have to have at least 4 models- one your leader (not an HQ choice), and 3 Specialists. Those 4 models have some special options and charts they get to roll on.
splinx
I am hoping to go grab the rules set this week sometime and tentatively say folks can start gaming next week. Tuesday nights at 5 will probably be a starting point. There are permanent 4 x 4ftx4ft tables set up at the front of the store with scenery so folks can go and kill team whoever they like. The league will probably start sometime in October.

splinx
So first games will be next tuesday at 5pm @ mythic realm games up here in Vancouver. I have hard copy of the ruleset and new rules book if anyone needs to borrow it for the games. We will have 4 x 4ft x 4ft tables for the evening so feel free to bring a box of minis along and have some fun. Sam

splinx
I can always spare an hour or so for a game on Friday night up here if you wanted Scott?
spacemarinejunkie
This might be the first thing I buy from GW in years. I have been out of the game and only painting stuff occasionally for awhile now but I have enough minis to put together kill teams for Space Marines, Chaos, Orcs, and I believe Eldar if I can find them and maybe even Astra Militarum.
fluger
Are there new rules for Kill Team FROM GW that I missed somehow?
splinx
yes either $10 download from black library / gw or part of the $60 box set from GW. From looking at it they have split all of the special skills into categories now to help with allocation! Everything else seems very similar! I am going to start games next week and see how the new rules look.
fluger
Is it worth the $10?
splinx
It has a couple of data slates for ready made kill team and a few decent kill team scenarios in it. Nothing GW has is ever amazing value but if you are thinking about it it's kinda essential.
fluger
So, are there rules for playing at tiny points levels that differ from 40k? Like how the homebrew one did?
