  1. Bolstered by their victory over Aurea, Rebel high command launched an attack at the heart of the Imperial Presence in the sector, Corellia. As General Madine's fleet jumped into the outskirts of the system, Moff Jerjerrod boarded his shuttle from the Imperial Command Compound in Coronet City. Bound for the the ISD Relentless in orbit, Jerjerrod studied the composition of the Rebel fleet and formulated his tactics. Within the hour, battle was joined and though the VSD Stalwart was disabled in the fighting, the combined might of the Imperial Fleet and Corellia's Fighter Garrison was able to win the day, forcing the Rebels to flee the system. Seizing the initiative, Jerjerrod ordered the bloodthirsty Admiral Screed to assault the Rebel base on Nubia. The base and its local fighter garrison were defended by the Rebellion's strongest fleet under the command of General Rieekan. Catching the Rebels by surprise with the speed of his ships, Screed was able to seize victory from the Rebels in the planet's orbit. With the space battle won, Screed commenced a ground assault on Nubia's capital, easily crushing the pathetic resistance. With the loss of one of the leading worlds in the sector's Rebellion, the Rebels found themselves reeling. In an effort to gain more supplies to replace their losses and expand their fleets, Commander Sato launched a Hyperlane Raid against Centerpoint Station. Admiral Konstantine's fleet arrived to defend, but the sluggish Imperial cruisers were not quick enough to prevent the Rebels from raiding the Station and making off with a number of precious supplies. --- Some very close battles this turn, but in the end a very solid win for the Empire. Failing to capture the capital world of Corellia and losing the resource-rich Nubia was a big hit for the Rebels, but their resources will be bolstered by their victory in the Hyperlane Raid. At the end of round 2 the score is 5-1 in the Empire's favor and the sector looks like this: Turn 2 Lists
  2. I could do some 9th Age. 4500 point party. I'm off at 5:15 today so can be down as early as 5:30 in theory. Assuming Loren is snowed in that is.
  3. It's looking like things will be clearing up tomorrow, but who knows. Weather reports are crazy yo.
  4. 4500 is the standard right now. Sherbert would love it to change to 5k and it might with the 2.0 release at the end of the year, but for now 4500. Would you want to get a game in? I'd also be up for helping you out together a list if you want to PM me what you're looking at.
  5. I'm going to be down with Armada stuff, BUT if anyone is up for a 9th Age game I'd be up for doing that instead. Kevin you have first dibs if you're interested...
  6. Hooray! I'm glad you enjoyed it and that we're luring Shaun back to the hobby! I'm just going to announce my intent here of getting a 9th Age game in next week, ideally a full 4500, but I'm open to a smaller learning game if people need it.
  7. Up in Bellingham I was aiming for a more casual vibe hence the longer rounds. I think most people finished their games in 2.5 hours, but we had at least a game or two every round that went the full 3 hours.
  8. You were missed! Our local KoE player is especially interested in playing you at some point to see how someone else plays the horsies. Also, you should get them to put up a fancy banner for you on the main forum page.
  9. I think you'll like it! The tactical depth of the game is really impressive.
  10. I'm interested. Can you put me down for a tentative? I'm going to take the temperature of the rest of the Bellingham crew tonight and let you know.
  11. Speaking of music, Hayley and I were talking the other night about how it's been a while since we've gone to a show in town... anything coming up?
  12. Do eet! I'm excited to have you playing some 9th Age :)
  13. Was super glad to see everyone make the trip to come up! Thanks for making this a super fun event and looking forward to seeing you all at the next one :)
  14. I'll be down with Armada.
  15. Let me dig out the TK stuff I have and see how much it adds up to. It's probably a good bit shy of 4500, but we'll see.
  16. Well barring new players I'd be interested in helping you part with it to fill out my Vamps. I have a lot of old Empire stuff that I should probably admit to myself that I won't revisit... And also some new in box tomb kings that I'd be happier part with.
  17. Congrats to the winners! Best General: Sherbert Best Sportsman: Yarb Best Painted: Ben from Vancouver, with Gabe as a runner up (tied from player votes, tie broken by the heartless TO) Well done everyone and thanks to all who showed up!
  18. We just finished up our first turn, here's a cross-post of a writeup I did for the club: Click for intro! The first battle of the conflict took place above the world of Vagran, home to a network of valuable repair yards. A fleet led by the Rebel High Commander Jun Sato arrived in orbit of the planet, but Moff Jerjerrod had anticipated the attack and was ready with a fleet of Star Destroyers and a carefully laid minefield. Hera Syndulla and the crew of the Ghost crippled Jerjerrod's flagship with a series of successful bombing runs by her fighter wing, but the rest of the Rebel fleet was hemmed in by the minefield and crushed by the combined firepower of the Victory Star Destroyers as the ISD Relentless limped away. In the last moments of the engagement, the Rebels' lone surviving Corellian Corvette went out in a blaze of glory with a suicidal ramming attack against the Relentless, finishing off the damaged Star Destroyer before being destroyed itself in a hail of turbolaser fire from the nearby VSD Protector. While Jerjerrod focused on a defensive operation, he sent the most viscious Admiral under his command, Terrinald Screed, to make a Show of Force in the Sacorria System. As the Imperial fleet advanced on the undefended space stations orbiting the planet, a Rebel fleet led by General Crix Madine responded to the Sacorrian distress call. Despite Madine's most valiant efforts, his fleet was overwhelmed by the fast-moving ships under Screed's command. The Rebel bomber wing was crushed by the ace pilot Mauler Mithel and several squadrons of TIEs as Boba Fett started laying down bombing runs on ships and the neutral stations alike. In the end, Madine saw that his best efforts were not enough to save the Sacorrians and ordered the remains of his fleet to make the jump to hyperspace, escaping with the Mon Karren along with a lone flotilla of transports as the rest of the fleet burned. Meanwhile, the Imperial Admiral Kassius Konstatine was locked in talks with the Planetary Governor of Aurea, a world known for its skilled Diplomats, as a Rebel fleet led by General Carlist Rieekan arrived via Hyperspace to sway the world to the Rebellion. Using their superior agility, the Rebel fleet was able to outmanuever the Imperials and force Konstantine's flagship to leave the battlefield while the remaining ships carried on the assault. In the end, the Empire was forced to flee the field and cede the planet to the Rebellion. --- Overall the first turn of the campaign ended in 1-1 tie in campaign points, but a big resource advantage for the Empire. At the end of the day, the map looked like this: And for reference, these are the lists that the players went into this turn with: GALACTIC EMPIRE REBEL ALLIANCE
