  1. You're on buttercup! I don't have my 6 wraiths done yet, but mind if I just proxy some stuff For them?
  2. I played it on Xbox, very solid game. Vermintide 2 is out, been waiting for it to drop in price before I try it out too.
  3. Since the 5 immortals are just to meet my 3 troop requirement for battalion, I'm torn on Tesla or Gauss. At half range -1 tesla would be nice, and if assaulted extra hits on overwatch at -1. Gauss -3 would be sick too, but i'm not sure if I'd be able to get them 'forward'. I imagine a 5 man squad being a back objective sitter.
  4. Wasted points, if i want to re-roll i have 9 command points. Strategem is good enough. I actually want people to shoot them so they ignore the real threats (Ctan, 2 squads of wraiths, destroyers). For killing troops warriors are good. but the threats deal with big things and i need them alive. Hate to say, but plenty of people ignore the warriors (Ctan delivering them within 12" makes them something you can't ignore).
  5. Battalion Detachment +5CP (Necrons): 1996 pts Dynasty: Mephrit (Grants -1 ap when within half distance of weapon) HQ Cryptek (Chronometron, Staff of Light, Warlord) Cryptek (Canoptek Cloak, Staff of Light) Troops 5 Immortals (Gauss Blaster) 20 Necron Warriors 20 Necron Warriors Outrider Detachment +1CP (Necrons) Dynasty-Novokh (re-roll hits in CC if charging or was charged this turn) HQ Destroyer Lord (Artefact-Voidreaper) Elite C'tan Shard of the Deceiver (Antimatter Meteor, Cosmic Fire) Fast Attack 6 Destroyers 5 Canoptek Wraiths 6 Canoptek Wraiths
  6. Warriors with Immortal pride on warlord is better to make sure reanimation can happen. Also, killing off 20 dudes is just HARD. Killing off 10 immortals, easy. I field all 40 of my warriors with a cryptek giving 5+ invul and 4+ reanimation....they have to waste to much fire to kill them, plus mephrit makes them -2 if deceiver delivers them up front.
  7. Having fielded 5 destroyers+1 heavy destroyer, WOW is all i can say. Getting the chance to turn one shoot stuff is awesome! Using the strategem that allows them to re-roll all hits and wounds is worth it. Did 13 wounds to basically a land raider in 1 wound of shooting. I'll be fielding them along with my other threats. Just have to move some points around. Removing deathmarks and scarabs to start. Just have to shave 100+ pts elsewhere to do it.
  8. Had a blast tonight! Glad I could swing by. Thanks for the games!!!
  9. Sure, 1500 works and I'll shoot for 430, but likely 5pm too.
  10. sure, i could be talked into some 40k. Point level & time?
  11. Here's my first stab at a Necron list with the new codex. Plan: Spring at least 2 units forward with Ctan, allowing me to use Mephrit's -1 quickly. Deathmarks were a fill unit, but same -1ap when they show up. Warlord trait of immortal pride ensures auto pass failed morale, meaning I'll always be rolling 4+ reanimation (nothing lost to running away). The Wraith Wing will advance to to support by turn 2 at least. Only concern is anti tank/monsterous creature spam. I should be able to manage 1 or 2, but more will be problematic. That's 76 models too, concerned about moving in a timely fashion. Battalion Detachment +5CP (Necrons) Dynasty: Mephrit (Grants -1 ap when within half distance of weapon) HQ Cryptek (Chronometron, Staff of Light, Warlord) Cryptek (Canoptek Cloak, Staff of Light) Troops 10 Immortals (Gauss Blaster) 20 Necron Warriors 20 Necron Warriors Elites 5 Deathmarks Outrider Detachment +1CP (Necrons) Dynasty-Novokh (re-roll hits in CC if charging or was charged this turn) HQ Destroyer Lord (Artefact-Voidreaper) Elite C'tan Shard of the Deceiver (Antimatter Meteor, Cosmic Fire) Fast Attack 5 Canoptek Scarabs 6 Canoptek Wraiths 6 Canoptek Wraiths
  12. Needing their coupon kind of sale, or just discounted?
  13. I used the DDB25 code on DNDBeyond to get 25% off their digital books. Ended up buying Players handbook, DM Manual, Monster manual, and Xanathar's. So nice to be able to create characters quick like that, also I can share the books when i run a campaign so my players can use my books digitally and build their characters (I just will subscribe when I start the campaign). No cost to players that are in my campaign to use my books or create characters. Plus a searchable database is insane for monsters and more.
  14. Too lazy to look, no Necron changes yet?
  15. until

Bringing my 13 yes old daughter with me, she's very artistic. Think we can find her something she might like to do? Assemble, paint, etc.
  16. Winning at the moment. Only because the song is right, but the artist name is exactly what the Knights are...machine God's smacking orks ...
  17. Updated to this point, great suggestions!
  18. Since I get to play judge, jury, and executioner...if the song fits, i feel that's ok to repeat an artist. Some artists were just meant to play 40k. I do challenge you though to find alternatives that would topple the ones listed. I'm always happy to tear down a listing if a better one is found.
  19. Ok, I had a thread many years ago, but have since lost it. The challenge is to help me build a playlist of songs that represent 40k armies. Here's some of the ones I remember. Post your suggestions below, can be some or all. I'll update the thread for a while with your input. Feel free to point out any that you feel deserve their own line (like Blood Angels, etc) and I'll add them to the list. Let the noise marine battle, begin! Chaos Space Marines: Black Legion: Chaos Daemons: Khorne Daemons: Raining Blood by Slayer Dark Eldar: Craftworld Eldar: Veteran of the Psychic Wars by Blue Oyster Cult Eldar Harlequins: Killer Klowns from Outer Space by The Dickies Necrons: Immortality by Pearl Jam Orks: Tau Empire: Tyranids: Genestealer Cults: Space Marines: Indestructible by Disturbed Space Wolves: Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin Custodes: The Vengeful One by Disturbed Imperial Guard: Disposable Heroes by Metallica Traitor Guard: Heretic by Avenged Sevenfold Inquisition: Burning Heretics by Apoptygma Berzerk Sisters of Battle: Joan by Heather Dale Imperial Knights: I Stand Alone by Godsmack Adeptus Mechanicus: P.S. Try to gather up your thoughts and do one large post, rather than many smaller ones? Easier to sort through.
  20. I will be there shortly around 430/5pm to drop off some items for folks and then splitting ASAP. I'll be on game night hiatus for an unknown length.
  21. Yeah, 2nd box for Necrons at least makes full squads. 2x5 immortals, 2x5 lychgard, 2x3 Wraiths. You don't really need 2 cryptek models, but can play them as different HQ's. This is what I did, split 2 halves of this box set to increase my Necrons. As for the admech, I'm told having 1-2 full knights with 2 of the little knights in forgebane (per knight), makes a good squad. But not as familiar with their build design.
