  1. I'm glad that the Wood Elves are getting a new book. Too bad GW used their worst sculptor for the models though. Those are the worst elves I've ever seen.
  2. I'm a fan of: Lord w/ Shieldbearers Runic Weapon: 1*Fury,1*Might,1*Striking Runic Armor: 2*Fortitude Runic Talisman: 1*Passage,1*Furnace Basically a monster killer and non Elf character killer.
  3. http://www.blacklibrary.com/faqs-and-errata.html FAQ/Errata pages are back on The Black Library website under Digital Editions tab. No new ones and the Daemons pdf is missing.
  4. Nice looking stuff. Hope you make a nice bit of cash.
  5. Yes and no. A cavalry model can be placed in a unit of infantry and gain protection from missile weaponry. Such as bows and crossbows. He will have no protection from template weapons. Such as cannons and stone throwers. Nor spells that use templates.
  6. I must say, I do like their new website. It's pretty. Other than a few bugs, I like it.
  7. I was actually expecting them to get rid of the FAQ and Errata pages. It was obvious that they didn't want to deal with rules questions anymore. Time to brain dump all those answers since it looks like they are invalid now. On the bright side, Unmodified Leadership is more clear without the FAQ.
  8. Hodor hodor hodor. Hodor, hodor hodor hodor. Hodor. Hodor... hodor. HODOR!
  9. I don't think a new book will guarantee that outcome
  10. Skaven don't need a book. Just being greedy. I expect Wood Elves are next though.
  11. I'm hoping for the next book to be Skaven, because I'm a greedy rat.
  12. The last sentence in the Killing Blow section of the rulebook states that: "Unless otherwise specified, Killing Blow applies only to close combat attacks." Page 72.
  13. Found the relevant Q&A: Q: What are ‘magical attacks’? (p68) A: All attacks made by spells and magic items are considered to be magical attacks, as are all attacks that are specifically noted as being magical attacks. Shots fired from magical items are also considered to be magical attacks, unless their description specifically states otherwise. Hits inflicted by rolls on the Miscast table are treated as magical attacks.
  14. You can play that the rolls of 5 are killing blow yet then rolls of 6 would be 7 and therefore not killing blow. Easier to just say natural 6 are killing blow. What ever way you play make sure your opponent knows though
  15. I believe Munkie is correct. I used to play it that way (3 for LOS), yet after reading all the relevant sections I've never seen any compelling evidence that Monstrous only need 3 models for a LOS roll. The first compelling thing I've heard is you saying that GT are ruling it that way. could you link an example? I'm now intrigued.
  16. I've literally never seen you spout any original idea. I've also never seen you say anything other than your idea was the best idea. I personally think most of your ideas are just re-vomited jargon from the internet for the most part. Yes, the war machines can become magical. Guess what that means. You now have to waste your war machines on ethereal units. Ya, a GW lord is great. He has 4 strength 6 attacks. Guess what else has 4 strength 6 attacks. 2 Hammerers. My problem with you Hero, is not that you may be right. It's that there is no right, it's all opinion and conjecture. That and every time you type you come across as a real prick.
  17. I like having something in a unit that can deal with ethereal units. Your "correct answer" is [big bad swear word].
  18. I am partial to the Runed up Lord. My current favorite build is: Lord w/ Shieldbearers 185 MR Snorri, Fury, Might 75 Shield w/ Stone, Preservation 33 MR Passage, Furnace 15 5 strength 5 or 5 strength 10 attacks depending on the mark.
