pretre
positives: new models/support for awesome games! negatives: that company is GW who is treating their games like George RR Martin treats his main characters... ... ... ... yes im still bitter And yet this may be the Lord of Light's hand bringing those cruelly Slain games back.

Threejacks
Where's the Mordheim!?! Got vaped along with "The world that was" However that certainly doesn't mean that they wont be releasing a Sigmar`d version of some sort in the future:) Actually I think this could be a very good thing for AoS.They could release a Mighty Emprires version that would add a much needed group/strategic level for campaign play.A Grand Army supplement for large multiplayer games like Apoc does for 40k. Another route to go would be introducing campaign boxes along the lines of the recent ones for 40k like Stormclaw for instance, ony for AoS they could introduce a new format to play in with its own form of composition and scenarios. And finally, would the new Bloodbowl be in the Mortal Realms? or from the world that was...Personally I would prefer a 40k arena type game, perhaps based on Hockey or something. Not sure if BB in any form would fit well in the Mortal Realms with were they are at in the story arcs now. Guest Mr. Bigglesworth
I don't want to see a sigmarine blood bowl team. Outside of a dark eldar setting I don't think any way you could have a grim dark sport game.

Ahh shows how much I know about Warhammer football! I often wondered were this Arena thing was in the Old World, lol.
Burk
Blood bowl was always an alternate universe and mordheim was in the past. No conflict with aos. that is actually not true. originally Bloodbowl was in the WFB universe, but was retconned about 10 years ago to say it was an alternate universe.

Brother Glacius
No one commenting on this bit: So as the ultramarines and world bearer legions prepare to march to war, we're delighted to announce that it's just the first of many new boxed games and stand-alone sets coming over the next few years. So GW not going to continue to expand 30K? Perhaps leaving that purely in the hands of Forge World? Basic drug dealer 101. The first one is free (or in this case, $150), and then they rope you into expanding with FW models.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was the rout they choose to go; put out an affordable, plastic box set for Epic / Bloodbowl / Mordheim / etc., then release extra figures / teams / warbands in resin. Maybe not the most ideal situation, but I'm just happy to see the specialist games being supported in one form or another.

This might be the best option, from my POV, except it'll still have typical GW prices. I'll probably still be building my Epic armies from Onslaught Miniatures. InfestedKerrigan
I am excited for Epic. I love Big Games with Lots of Models, but I'm not interested in Historical games. I'm not overtly interested in Fantasy games, either. Epic 40k hits that spot for me, but I've never been a fan of the outdated models. I am looking forward with great interest to the new models. Technology has grown so much since the old models were sculpted and cast. I had almost started an Epic Grey Knight army back in 2005 when FW.....jesus tits, that was 10 years ago. Now I'm depressed and over talking about this lol
Torg
there are several companies making great epic style mini's… perfect for many of the factions. I have been holding of getting into some of them - but now I may wait to see what GW is planning - I do have (marines, orks and eldar) for epic - I'd love to dust off and get some games in -d

splinx
Sure thing! - initial launch sales of AOS were semi-acceptable although still way below the GW required amount. They have now dropped off similar to Fantasy prior to EOT. EOT generated a significant spike in fantasy related sales and therefore was deemed successful for the investment of writing, sculpting and casting. The half year review of AOS is coming up and "The Rumor" has it the game has not sold as well as hoped and we could see ramifications as early as Q2 2016 if christmas sales do not improve the game.
