Brother Glacius
Just wanted to let everyone know that the surgery went well and she is now recovering in the PICU. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. Please continue them as she has a very long recovery from this. The upside to all this, is that I think she now qualifies as a cyborg.

Brother Glacius
Not until we get the lasers installed. For now though, we have a few more days in the hospital, and then home with an 8 week recovery expectation. I call dibs on being Mr. Crankypants.
PumpkinHead
Oh man. :( Hanging out at the PICU is never fun. Though the nurses can make all the difference in the world. 8 week recovery at home?!?!? best of luck. When my 3 yr old was told no physical activity for 4 weeks after being in the PICU for 9 days after his last major surgery, it about killed everyone in the family. We are now breaking him of his addiction to the Wii and watching movies. Best of luck my friend. Remember, it is key to still get some personal time in all of this. I know it is hard, but even getting one night out with the friends can really make the difference.
