MexicanNinja
Lore of Metal makes perfect sense for wood elves. Bretonnians are always going into the woods. Again, I'll wait for the book to come out before I spill my hate or bless it with my love! All those cool rules they have get shut down by most of the new dwarf toys. Oh, those are some cool flammable models you have. Have you met my flame cannon yet? I believe your treekin need to be cleansed! Oh, you have S4 bows....did I mention I come stock with T4 models? Oh, and my crossbows and warmachines have better range. Come at me breh! Here's something that would be cool though. Brets and Wood Elves for the 9th box set and bret's get the first book!?!?!?!?!!!? ratrek
This treeman will always be more than enough man for me: Whatever makes you happy, but there's a reason the LoTR treeman sold so well :p

ratrek
I think you mean Ent. So hasty. I'd make a comment about release the river to wash Jim's other Tree person away but I suspect it would be taken the wrong way. Though in Sylvos's case it might be accurate
JMGraham
Whatever makes you happy, but there's a reason the LoTR treeman sold so well :p Because LoTR is such a popular miniatures game? The flagship line of GWs catalog?
ratrek
Because LoTR is such a popular miniatures game? The flagship line of GWs catalog? Absolutely. On a related note, if you used some Uruk-Hai as Orcs in one army and "accidentally" chopped their legs off, would the Uruk-Low now count as Goblins? generalripphook
Absolutely. Nah, they just wouldn't fail a drug test
JMGraham
Hmmm.... not enough Wood Elf talk. here are closeups of the peaks at the stag riders and the horrible shovel-handed bare-armed axe-elves: Link to the Stags in the background because the image is so big Simian-armed, shovel handed axe-elves:
Munkie
Nah, he's just prepping for some serious elf-junk scratching/rearranging I do like the depth to their hoods though, and the lighting is doing it wonders.
JMGraham
Note to self - I've got skinny arms and should not wear muscle-tunics.
ratrek
Stag Cav! HURRRRAH!!!! I can't tell from the pic if they look far enough spaced to be MC instead of standard cav models. Those shovel brothers are not impressive. I'll still with my old spear elves/madien guard.

savion47
What base is the stag model on now? Looking at the lower picture (not the link but the one posted here) they look like cav bases to me.

As to the weapons, I'd suspect those are those rumored +1S whacha-ma-jiggies... but that is just a rumor crazed guess.
Sherbert
they look good with the exception of the arms. maybe some greenstuffed sleeves or something.

Looking at the linked picture, I'm now pretty sure they're big bases - regular cav are already tightly packed as it is, and those fellows have breathing room. Brother Glacius
All I can imagine in that pic with the two handed elves is each guy going "I'm the arrow...no I'm the arrow!"

Looking closer you are right they are not the stag riders. I just saw green and assumed for some reason.

ratrek
So a new hero for the Wood Elves? The Wardancer person is now listed as a Shadow Dancer and the description talks about them being a wizard. I wonder if Dancers are going to be the Harlequins of 40k and the Shadowdancer counts as their Shadow Seer?

nathonicus
Wow, I really can't believe they are getting away for charging $22 for a single sprue that makes one dude.... mind-boggling.
