Ok, so I am giving people a chance to tell me what they would like to see going forward in the league. Post up your suggestions to be considered.

I have already received a few including:

  • Achievements
  • Changing the game schedule to something like 2 games per 3 weeks
  • schedule of matches set at the start

What would player trade look like?

There would have to be some vetting (ie: I can't trade a zombie for a werewolf) to make sure it's all fair & what-not. I believe Shane would have to manually enter in players moving teams on the back end of the ordo site which might cause quite a bit of work for him. Of course myself, Burk, Weav, etc are willing to assist with this.

There would probably have to be a scheduled window each week to process trades so people don't try to do it last minute. For example: get all trades emailed to the commissioner by 8pm Friday or it won't be processed until the following Friday, or something like that.

That's the general idea & I'm sure there's more to it im not thinking of.

I'm eager to read the new league rules in Death Zone Season 1 to see how GW has addressed the nature of leagues. For example, maybe they went back to open play where coaches play as many matches as they want, with TR balancing them (or attempting to).

I plan on picking up death zone to see what is in there. I feel for having a league with prizes and the like, it is far easier and more fair to have a season with set number of games. While I am hesitant to switch to that kind of format, if they do have a good system in place, it will be under consideration.

I seem to recall when I bought 5th edition all the rules were there. Then they were outdated so I downloaded the competition rules....for free. :|

I think you mean 4th edition, as this new release is the 5th edition of BB, according to wikipedia. Regardless, the first 3 editions of Bloodbowl had a boxed set release followed by another release (box in 1st and 3rd, pair of books in 2nd) with rules for leagues. The 4th edition box released in 2002, did have a single rulebook, covering all the rules, but that was primarily due to the fact that it was a Specialist Games re-release and not a full GW new edition release.
